PROCEDIMIENTO DE PARTICIPACIÓN

El procedimiento de participación constará de 2 fases.

PRIMERA FASE

A) Formulario de participación completado en WORD sacado de la página web www.dipcas.es/premiopintura.htm y guardado como “apellido_nombre.doc”

B) Currículum vitae abreviado en máximo una página enviado en WORD guardado como “apellido_nombre_cv.doc”. P.e. Puertas_Juan_CV.DOC

C) JPG de la obra a concursar guardado como “apellido_nombre.jpg”. Cada imagen no debe superar 1 Mega. P.e. Puertas_Juan.JPG

Y SOLO tratándose de una pintura proyectada, entonces el concursante deberá enviar por CORREO POSTAL

E) DVD en formato PAL con las especificaciones técnicas de la obra indicando en la portada del DVD “apellido_nombre”. P.E. Portas_Juan

NOTA: si la documentación solicitada resultara incompleta, el concursante no podrá participar en el premio.

2/ La temática y técnicas son libres. Las dimensiones de las obras no podrán superar las medidas de 250cm de alto por 350cm de ancho, aunque sí pueden incluir elementos 3D adicionales, como en el caso de una instalación (p.e objetos de suelo).

3/ No se aceptarán obras realizadas antes del 2004.

4/ Los concursantes podrán seguir el desarrollo del premio a través de la web en www.dipcas.es/premiopintura.htm (solo los artistas finalistas seleccionados para la exposición serán contactados por la Diputación Provincial de Castellón).

SEGUNDA FASE

5/ Los artistas seleccionados por el jurado para la exposición final que concursan por el premio serán contactados oficialmente por correo electrónico por la organización y sus nombres figurarán en la página web.

6/ Las obras seleccionadas han de ser enviadas al Museo de Bellas Artes de Castellón (la organización indicará cuándo y a quién).

7/ El artista se hace cargo de los gastos de envío de la obra (el empaquetado, el transporte y gastos de aduana) a Castellón.

8/ La Diputación Provincial de Castellón se hace cargo de los gastos de transporte de la obra al lugar de origen una vez terminada la(s) exposición(es).

9/ El Certamen organizará con las obras seleccionadas una exposición en Castellón y, en caso de considerarlo oportuno, una segunda exposición.

10/ Los autores permitirán a la Diputación Provincial de Castellón la reproducción de sus obras para el catálogo, la página web y para cualquier otra manera de comunicación elegida por la Diputación.

11/ La obra premiada quedará en plena propiedad de la Diputación Provincial de Castellón y pasará a formar parte de su colección de pintura contemporánea.

PREMIO

El III Certamen Internacional de Pintura tiene una dotación económica de 60,000 euros, que se adjudicará íntegramente al autor de la obra premiada. Si a juicio del Jurado, ninguno de los trabajos presentados fuera merecedor del premio, éste quedará desierto.

ACEPTACIÓN DE LAS BASES

La presentación a esta convocatoria implica la aceptación de las presentes bases.

En caso de reclamación o conflicto, serán competentes los Tribunales con jurisdicción sobre la ciudad de Castellón de la Plana.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Castellón County Council announces the III edition of its International Painting Prize the aim of helping artists consolidate an international reputation and facilitate the emergence of new talents on the contemporary art scene. The contest is dedicated to “expanded painting”, that is, the relationship and interaction of painting with other media like photography, video, installation, sculpture or new technologies (painting, 3D, collage, projected painting, installation…) and in any kind of support (canvas, DVD, paper, plastic, wood…). The prize has an international scope. Any artist interested in taking part in the contest can do so, regardless of their nationality, residence or age.

ENTRY PROCEDURE

There is a two stage entry procedure

FIRST STAGE

NOTE: If the application is not fully completed, the entrant will not be eligible for the prize.

2/ Theme and technique are free. The maximum dimensions of the works shall not exceed 250 cm height by 350 cm width., but it may involve additional 3D components, as in case of an installation (f.e. floor pieces).

3/Under no circumstances works made before 2004 shall be admitted.

4/The entrants can follow the development of the prize via our website at www.dipcas.es/painting.htm (only shortlisted artists for the exhibition will be contacted by the Castellón County Council).

SECOND STAGE

5/The shortlisted entrants for the exhibition and the prize will be officially notified by email by the organization and their names will be on view at our website.

6/The selected works must be send to the Museo Bellas Artes de Castellón.

7/The artist is responsible for the shipping, insurance, customs duty costs TO the exhibition.

8/The Castellón County Council will assume the cost of returning the work FROM the exhibition.

9/The Castellón County Council will organize one exhibition with the shortlisted works in Castellón, and may consider the organization of a second one in Spain.

10/The shortlisted artists must allow the County Council reproduction rights for the works submitted to create the catalogue, publicise the works on the website and in any other form of communication chosen by the County Council.

11/The Castellón County Council will have full ownership of the awarded work.

PRIZE

The winner of the III Castellón County Council International Painting Prize will be awarded with 60,000 €, payable to the artist. If the Jury deems that none of the works submitted is worthy of the prize, this shall not be awarded.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE CONDITIONS

The participation in this call for proposals implies the total and absolute acceptance of the content of these conditions by the authors. In case of claim or conflict, the competent authorities will be the Courts with jurisdiction within the City of Castellón de la Plana.
