BASES:

PARTICIPANTES

Podrán tomar parte en esta Mostra, con una sola obra, cualquier persona física sin más limitación que las impuestas por la legalidad vigente.

OBRAS

Serán admitidas todas las técnicas y procedimientos, así como todas las tendencias o corrientes estéticas.

Las obras deberán ajustarse a las siguientes dimensiones y características:
Pintura, fotografía: El tamaño de las obras no podrá exceder la medida de 200x200 cm.

- Se presentarán sobre un cartón pluma o montadas en soporte rígido, sin enmarcar o, en todo caso, con un listón o junquillo de madera o metálico, de anchura no superior a 2 cm.
- No se admitirán obras realizadas en materiales peligrosos para su integridad o transporte, ni tampoco protegidas con cristal.

Escultura: Sus dimensiones no podrán exceder de las que cabrían inscritas en un cubo imaginario de 150 cm. de lado.

En el caso de obras en formato audiovisual, deberán incluirse indicaciones técnicas sobre la forma correcta de exhibirse.

PRESENTACIÓN

Las obras se presentarán bajo el sistema de plica dentro de un sobre cerrado, que llevará en el exterior el seudónimo del autor. Es imprescindible incluir los siguientes datos:
-Nombre y apellidos del autor.
-Fotografía personal del autor.
-Fotocopia del D.N.I. o pasaporte.
-Dirección, teléfono y correo electrónico.
-Escrito de aceptación de las bases del certamen.
-Breve curriculum artístico. Indicación expresa del nombre artístico o seudónimo con el que desea aparecer en el catálogo.
-Ficha técnica de la obra.
-Una fotografía de la obra en CD con calidad para su reproducción: 300 PPP y copia a baja resolución JPEG.

LUGAR

Los originales, que deberán ser inéditos, serán enviados o presentados debidamente identificados en las dependencias del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo UNION FENOSA Avda. de Arteixo, 171 – 15007 – A Coruña).

PLAZO

Las obras deben presentarse entre los días 29 de mayo y 2 de junio de 2006 (ambos inclusive), de lunes a jueves, en horario de 9:30 a 13:30 y de 16:00 a 18:00 horas, y el viernes, de 9:30 a 13:30.

Serán admitidos por correo todas aquellas obras que hayan sido selladas en las oficinas de correo antes de las 18 horas del día 2 de junio.

JURADO

El jurado de la IX Mostra Internacional UNION FENOSA lo formarán personalidades de reconocido prestigio internacional en el mundo del arte y de la cultura. Sus nombres se harán públicos en el mes de mayo.

El jurado se reunirá los días 16 y 17 de junio del 2006 en la sede del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo UNION FENOSA. La decisión del jurado se hará publica en la siguiente semana.

La decisión del jurado será inapelable y a él le corresponderá resolver cualquier circunstancia no prevista en estas bases.

El jurado hará una selección de las obras presentadas, que formarán parte de una exposición que se celebrará durante los meses de julio, agosto y septiembre del 2006 en el MACUF. Las obras integrantes de esta exposición serán recogidas en un libro-catálogo para la mejor difusión de la Mostra, así como en la página web del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo UNION FENOSA (MACUF).

PREMIOS

Se concederán tres premios. Las dotaciones económicas de éstos serán:

- 15.000 euros para el primer premio.
- 9.000 euros para el segundo premio
- 6.000 euros para el tercer premio

El jurado podrá declarar desierto cualquiera de los premios.

CONDICIONES

Las obras premiadas y todos sus derechos pasarán a ser propiedad del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo UNION FENOSA.

-Las obras que no resulten seleccionadas para la exposición podrán ser retiradas de las dependencias del MACUF o solicitar su devolución en el plazo máximo de quince días a partir de la fecha del fallo del jurado.

-Las obras seleccionadas se retirarán a partir de la clausura de la exposición, en un plazo máximo de quince días. Podrán retirar las obras sus autores, otra persona autorizada o una agencia de transporte.

El hecho de no retirar las obras implicará la cesión de las mismas por parte de sus autores a una institución cultural o docente, autorizándose expresamente a UNION FENOSA a efectuar la entrega de las mismas.

En ningún caso las obras quedarán en poder de UNION FENOSA, que no responderá de pérdidas, roturas, robos, daños en obras o cualquier otro desperfecto que pudiera producirse.

ANEXOS

a) Paralelamente a la IX Mostra Internacional UNION FENOSA y fuera de concurso, el MACUF invitará a participar en una exposición a artistas de reconocido prestigio. En esta edición procederán del campo expresivo de la fotografía.

b) Premio Julián Trincado El Ayuntamiento de A Coruña, dentro de la presente edición de la IX Mostra Internacional UNION FENOSA, convoca el premio Julián Trincado, dotado con 7.500 euros, conforme a las siguientes bases:
1.- El premio se otorgará a la mejor obra de autor gallego presentada a la Mostra.
2.- El Premio será único, no pudiendo ser dividido.
3.- El Premio no podrá ser declarado desierto.
4.- El jurado será el de la correspondiente edición de la Mostra, integrándose en el mismo un representante municipal designado por la Alcaldía.
5.- El fallo del jurado será inapelable
6.- La pieza ganadora pasará a ser propiedad del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de A Coruña.

The UNION FENOSA Museum of Contemporary Art (MACUF) announces the IX UNION FENOSA International Exhibition

- Any person can take part in the Exhibition by contributing a single work of art, the only limitations being those stipulated by law.

WORKS OF ART

- All techniques and procedures, and aesthetic tendencies and movements, are admissible.

-They must be presented on featherweight board or mounted on stiff board, without a frame, or, at most, a wooden or metal surround not exceeding 2cm. in width.

-Pieces created using materials which are inherently dangerous or could pose a danger during transportation, or protected by glass, will not be admissible. Sculpture: Measurements must not exceed those of an imaginary cube measuring 150 cm. on each side. In the case of pieces in audiovisual format, technical indications on how to exhibit the piece must be provided.

PRESENTATION

Works must be presented as sealed entries, using a sealed envelope with the author’s pseudonym on the outside. It is compulsory to include the following information:

-Full name of the author

-Photograph of the author

-Photocopy of ID or passport

-Address, telephone number and email

-Written confirmation of acceptance of entry conditions

-Brief artistic curriculum indicating the preferred artistic name or pseudonym for the catalogue

-Technical specifications card for the piece

-A photograph of the piece on a quality reproducible CD: 300 PPP and a low-resolution JPEG copy.

LOCATION

- Originals, which must be unpublished, must be sent or taken, suitably labelled, to the UNION FENOSA Contemporary Art Museum (Avda. de Arteixo, 171 – 15007 – A Coruña).

ADMISSION PERIOD

- Pieces must be presented from 29 May to 2 June, 2006 inclusive, Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 to 13:30 and from 16:00 to 18:00, and on Friday from 9:30 to 13:30.

- Pieces sent by post will only be accepted when posted before 6 pm on 2 June.

PANEL OF JUDGES

The IX UNION FENOSA International Exhibition panel of judges will include internationally renowned figures from the world of art and culture. Their names will be published in May.

- The panel will convene on 15 and 16 June, 2006 at the UNION FENOSA Museum of Contemporary Art. The panel’s decision will be made public the following week.

- The jury’s opinion is not open to appeal and it is the responsibility of judges to resolve any unforeseen circumstance which might arise.

- The jury will make a selection of the pieces presented and these will be shown in an exhibition throughout the months of July, August and September, 2006 in the MACUF. The works in the exhibition will be included in a book/catalogue to foster awareness of the Exhibition, as well as on the UNION FENOSA Museum of Contemporary Art (MACUF) webpage.

PRIZES

- Three prizes will be awarded. The amount for each prize is as follows:

15,000 euros for the first prize

9,000 euros for the second prize

6,000 euros for the third prize

- The jury can declare any of these prizes void.

CONDITIONS

- The pieces awarded prizes and all pertaining rights will become the property of the UNION FENOSA Museum of Contemporary Art.

-Works which are not selected for the exhibition can be collected from the MACUF or a request can be made for their return up to 15 days after the jury’s decision has been made.

-Selected works must be collected within 15 days following closure of the exhibition. Pieces can be collected by their authors, a duly authorized person or a delivery service company.

- Failure to collect pieces authorizes UNION FENOSA to donate them to a cultural or educational institution. Under no circumstance will UNION FENOSA keep or be held responsible for the loss, breakage, theft or damage of pieces.

ATTACHMENT

a)- At the same time as the IX UNION FENOSA INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION, but not as part of the competition, the MACUF will invite artists of recognized prestige to take part in an exhibition. In this edition they will be from the world of artistic photography.

b)- Julián Trincado Prize As part of the present edition of the IX UNION FENOSA International Exhibition, A Coruña Town Hall invites candidates for the Julián Trincado prize, valued at 7,500 euros and subject to the following conditions:

1) The prize will be awarded to the best work by a Galician author in the Exhibition.

2) There will be a single Prize, which cannot be divided.

3) The prize cannot be declared void.

4) The jury will be the same as for this edition of the Exhibition and will include a council representative nominated by the Mayor.

5) The jury’s decision is final.

6) The winning piece will become the property of A Coruña Town Hall.
